Sliding wardrobe doors -MDF 18mm or 24mm

I would appreciate opinions on door sliding gear/door weight.
4 Doors - size H = 2.3m W = 0.8m
Previous posts suggest 18mm MDF but I have been told it would be prone to warping. 24mm is too heavy for most sliding gear.
Is there a better lighter material for the door or buy Hafele gear?
