Hi All
Having recently fitted a new kitchen in my flat with all appliances integrated, we never replaced the non-integrated washer. But its finally given up so can now needs to be replaced, but as everything else is integrated, the new washer should be the same.
Replace a washing machine? Yes, fairly simple task. However the space for my machine to go into has got a waste pipe from the kitchen sink running behind it. Meaning I don’t have the full depth of the cavity for the washer to go into. (See pic)
From the research I’ve done, there isn’t a single integrated washing machine which allows for pipework behind, or any space behind for that matter.
So I thought about getting a slim depth non-integrated washer as I’ve found one which should fit (Hoover OPHS712DF) but the problem with this is as it’ll be set back to be behind a door and also the skirting, opening and getting access to the drawer for putting tablets etc in will be a pain, or possibly even impossible!
So I’m a bit stuck as what to do
Modifying the pipe work is not really an option as firstly there’s nowhere else for it to go, but secondly (see pic) the black pipe is pvc, going into a coupler, the white pipe however is very thick, very solid Copper pipe which goes into a service duct connecting to a waste stack. (block of flats) So getting to/modifying it is a massive pain.
Anyone got any ideas?
Surely I can’t be the only person to have services running behind their washing machine???
I desperately don't want to resort to a non-integrated unit as I think it'd really ruin the kitchen as everything else is hidden
Thanks in advance!
Rich
