What is wrong with these forums today? it is like browsing through treacle.

All other forums I have tried are breezing along but pages here are taking between 20 and 45 seconds to load. A couple have even 'Timed out' on Firefox after 60 sec.

You're not alone dave - it's the same on my pc too. I'm wondering if our friendly admin chap is still on holiday - after all, why else would he not have replied to e-mails sent to him days ago?

My Macbook has been as quick as normal all day and thats fast

Saying that I think the service providers were struggling with the number of people online over the last week.

Windows on the other laptop has been slow

Its taking 30 secs and more to load each page

Same here

Opening posts is taking ages; Previews fail with "Ajax timed" messages; Posts do not always get through, even after five minute wait.

I can guarantee that this one will be the exception

Edit: Just a thought! Could the adverts and Flash players be slowing the site down?
