Could do with a little bit of advice off any plumbers out there, or anyone with some know how. l have just bought and fixed a 'p' trap with washer and dishwasher connectors. The fixings fine and the two 135 degree bends on the inlet stalk are to both appliances. The dishwasher hose has a rubber collet on the end of the hose and this is pushed onto the bend and tightened with a clamp, no problem, no leaks. The washing machine has no rubber on the end of the hose, but is pushed onto the bend and again clamped with a jubilee clip but it leaks water when the washer is on.The clips are on really tight, so any ideas- and why wou;ld it still leak.

Wrong sort of wm hose to go on to a spigot then - or the rubber collar on the end has been cut off? If you just have a ribbed end you'll have to fill it with silicone and use your hose clamp. Ordinary silicone would do, or Fernox LS-X.

yes the rubber collar is missing, and is cut to the ribbed hose end. l,ll try sealant and clamp it tight.cheers
