Small area of water damage?

Beginner question sorry.

I've got a small area of water damage on my wall, where a bit of sealant was missing from a window, now fixed. See pic!

What's the best way to make this look nice? I'm thinking: sand down, prime with water-resistant primer, and re-paint?
