Have tried to install a Fluidmaster 400LB074 but looks like my cistern is too small as the FM is close to the wall of the cistern and the flush etc that is already installed. The FM has stuck a couple of times and obviously I don't want it to overflow. Any help as to what the solutions might be? Many thanks in advance.

1. To turn the syphon round you have to have an alternative hole on the left hand side side of the cistern to fit the handle through. Not all cisterns have this.
2. You may also find that the cistern fouls the overflow pipe, in which case you have to change the syphon as well for one with an internal overflow, and block the hole in the bottom of the cistern for the original overflow.
3. In any case you will have to remove the syphon. Replace it with a Dudley Turbo 88 (internal overflow, no need to disassemble WC to replace syphon diaphragm).
4. Much simpler just to replace Fluidmaster inlet valve for one like the one which has been removed.
