Hi, I'm planning changing my garage (internal to the house but no internal door) to a garage gym. It's a pretty smallish garage and at the moment, has zero insulation in the brick walls - can literally feel the cold air coming in the house via the walls during winter.

I'm planning on using drywall for the internal walls of the garage, attached using furring strips. I'm considering adding insulation too but - and this might sound stupid - if I get the installation wrong, could this cause issues with damp or trapped moisture?

My thought process behind the question is: insulation added behind the drywall of a garage that has zero windows and not much air flow, could cause an issue with condensation or damp behind the walls???

Products like kingspan or space blankets have foil attached which moisture cannot get through. It's waterproof basically. That's why you tape or mastic/foam joints and gaps.
So you have outside and inside a tanked insulated room. That's my understanding.

You can add vents if required outside and inside
