The plumber recently left a hole in the outside wall for the drainage to my new washing machine.

What is the best way to fill the hole? Is bonding a good material to use?

I’m assuming the waste pipe goes through this hole & you want to fill the gap between the outside of the pipe & the wall! If he’s cut the hole properly with a core drill, the pipe should be a fairly snug fit; if so, I would just run a bead of silicone around it, outside & inside. If the pipe is a loose fit, use ordinary sand/cement mortar; make it flush with the brickwork on the outside but on the inside, keep it just below the surrounding plaster & finish it off with finishing plaster or even DIY filler if it’s not too large.
