Hi,

I'm new to this but could really do with some help.

I have an older style Roman Colossus shower (approx 8 years old), which has 3 glass panels. 2 of these are curved and fit together by means of a silver insert. I successfully disassembled the unit to retile the wall, however, when it came to reassembly, I smashed one of the curved panels

I have contacted Roman who say they have redesigned the Colossus and the glass panels for the new design won't fit mine and they don't stock the older ones - typical! I have also been to the store where I purchase the unit in the first place, but they too don't have any left.

I'm at a loss as to my next step. I really don't want to rip everything out and replace everything. Any cheapish, genius ideas to get me out of my hole?

Thanks,

Rob

A decent glass merchant will be able to supply toughened glass curved to a profile.

However prices will be in 'Grand Designs' territory and it will be cheaper to buy a new shower screen.

Could you replace the glass with clear acrylic sheet which is bendable (if you heat it)

Thanks for the replies guys. I've never claimed on insurance in my life....maybe it's time to change  and I want to keep costs to a minimum if I can.

The acrylic sheet sounds like the most appealing idea at the moment. What's the score with that? Will I need special tools to heat it etc?

Cheers,

rob

I might have an brand new old style colossus in our container. Will check when in and maybe we can do a deal.
