Hi, does anyone know what might be causing a Smeg fridge/ freezer to run too cold. The fridge is running cold enough to freeze stuff in it but is set at 6Deg C - its highest setting?
Hi- this reply is almost certainly too late now (!) but for future searchers, if the ice box is integral to the fridge, and only the tiniest bit open, with the thermostat set as you say, everything in the fridge will be too cold and will partly freeze, as the cold air tumbles out of the freezer box. I know this from bitter experience. Often a tiny build up of ice by the seal causes it or even water inside the seal freezing. Crunching the ice in the seal can resolve, but the problem will persist as the catch is weak, or it is easy to fail to slam
it shut. New ones have improved catches.
