Smeg Integrated Dishwasher - problem !!

Hi,
We have a Smeg integrated dishwasher.

It has no display, just the 5 programme LEDS, and programme selection button.

The issue is as follows:

dishwahser seems "stuck" in a loop. First programme (rinse) light is on, on shutting the door, the pump runs then stops and it beeps twice.

I've tried the reset procedure (press the button 4 times, 1st and 5th lights come on, press button, turn off, turn on, turn off etc) but this has no effect.

i've taken it apart, theres no water under the unit, and i've drained all water out of the dishwahser, but the issue remains.

any ideas ?

can you hear the circulation motor running constantly

does the water heat at all

it doesnt get that far, literally pump runs for a few secs, stops and beeps twice then after 5 secs does the same thing

the base isnt flooded, and if i lift the polystyrene float up, the pumps runs constantly

Did you manage to find what the problem was - i am having similar problems ?
