Hi I have a Smeg STX1, we had a fault recently whereby the dispenser stopped opening, the solenoid was dead so I replaced the whole dispenser.
This fixed that problem but now the dispenser opens as soon as you close the door.
I'm wondering if the temp probe is faulty and so thinks the water is hot enough to need soap and so opens straight away (if that's how the machine works) can't find any specs to test the resistance on the probe so can't confirm this.
(just tested it and it reads 10.6 at room temp drops to 4 when heated)
Or is it more likely to be the PCB?
There are no error codes and it works perfectly apart from this, still washes ok with soap in the bottom but be nice if it worked properly!
Thanks
