Smoke alarm wiring - connectors

Hi, I am changing my smoke alarm but the wire I have on the landing has 6 connectors but the new type alarm has 3 pin connectors, are there adapters available please?

Pull more wire out of the ceiling. That connector will be attached to something else, which is what any new alarm will be wired to.
Old connector and the mounting plate are removed and disposed of.

Compare the mounting plates before you remove the existing and disturb the decor. Probably around 50:50 chance.

Hi, yea pulled it out further and it’s just a choc block so I will wire to that. Thanks all.

Don’t mix devices as they MAY ….not work ….

Interlinked alarms will only work if they are from the same manufacturer. You can’t buy any alarm and bang it in.
