Smoke and heat alarms for regs

I believe that I will need a hard wired heat/ smoke alarm for my kitchen for regs purposes, the question is, will they allow my wireless ones in the lower and upper landings that pair with my Yale wireless alarm, or do all the smole detectors need to be hard wired?

They only need to be hard wired to the mains, but the link between them all is fine wireless.

Please read what the OP actually put. He has wired ones, but also has two wireless ones that link to the Yale Alarm. There is no connection between the wired and wireless and he wants to know is this OK and meets the regs.

But to answer the question, I don't know.

I did read what he said and we all interprate things differently and I interprated his question to ask whether or not he could use wireless linked, so long as they are mains powered.

If you weren't answering his question, only feeling the need to attempt to shoot me down in flames, then you ought to have said nothing really.

Could you recommend a good some/heat alarm for the kitchen, and smoke detectors for the upper and 1st fl landings that are hard wired, and cmmunicate with eachother/ base station?

The Aico range are pretty good, although i don't have them in my own home...
