Ive been inside a mates roof and found a snapped strut. (Its a double pitched roof with 2 purlins) The strut has been 'repaired' in the past by nailing a small plate to put the two joists back together but hes thinking its about time to get a better job done.
Strange thing is next to this strut is another strut
. My question is how should the strut be repaired properly and is it common to find another strut alongside damaged struts.
Any comments would be appreciated.
