Hi, currently got a soakaway that's blocked up. Old rubble type. The garden is only 6m long from building to neighbours garage. Current soakaway is installed approx 3.5m from our house and 1.5m from the neighbours garage wall. Leaving roughly 1m2 in the middle for the soakaway. This seems far too close to be digging and putting a new crate type soakaway in, garage footings are also pretty shallow, about 300-400mm to bottom of concrete strip below finished ground.

What other option do I have though?

Thanks in advance.

Dual (sewer) system?

Thanks. Sewer is foul only. Drainage map shows a few houses down it suddenly changes to combined on the same line. We do pay a surface water charge however and a downpipe has been diverted to a gully before we moved in. Found out it looks like due to a broken clay soakaway pipe when digging tidying the garden. That is about 1/4 of the roof. Must have been the easiest/cheapest option for them so that's what was done.
