Hi all,

After a little advice on relocation of a single socket and single light switch.

I was hoping just to extend a single set of wiring thru a junction box with wago etc, with a junction box each for socket and light switch, but the wiring in the property is a bit of a fuddle...

Light switch: 3x 2c&e into the light switch, assuming this is a loop somehow, but am I going to extend each cable or can I terminate those 3 cables in a wago, then bring a single out to the switch?

Single socket : similar story to the light switch, but only 2 cables coming into the socket...can I terminate and loop to a single run down to the socket?

Thanks in advance

You are probably better off extending each cable, rather than trying to run just one cable down the wall to each accessory.

The reason being - so much easier in the future when someone is trying to do some fault finding.

Ok take it the light switch will be a small 2c&e compared with the socket? 1.5mm vs 2.5mm or something along those lines?

Sockets USUALLY wired in 2.5mm. On modern wiring such as yours, solid copper on the blue and brown suggests 2.5, stranded blue and brown might suggest 4.0.
Lights USUALLY wired in 1.0mm, though sometimes 1.5. Generally either would be acceptable.

Wagos and wago boxes in the ceiling void are the easiest way to join cables.

Mind that damaged brown wire where your hand is at the light switch.
Thanks hadn't spotted that, I've got some 3 core flex left over from another application, assuming I could use that or would solid core be better?

Alternatively I may just get a small 10m roll of 2.5mm 2c&e and use it for both accessories...save then having to buy another roll of 1 or 1.5?
