Just come back from a well known kitchen retailer. Got a question to ask.

On show was a range cooker in an inglenook feature with a 500 wide base cupbaord either side. No probs.... but what i question is where they had positioned the sockets. I know that they were just face sockets and not attached to any wiring but it gave somebody like me a thought.....

That's why i'm questioning it here. The sockets were above the bases on either side 6 inch from the worksurface and approx 200mm from the range cooker itself.

Can anybody identify any part of the regs that say this is or is not ok.

if its any help, the switch must be accessable and within arms reach

What andemz is asking is is it OK for outlets to be only 200milli from a cooker?

This is one of those...... well not really, but if there is not enough room for it to go anywhere else....
