soffits and fascias

Hello I have completely pulled all the tiles off my roof. I have noticed all the soffits and fascias are rotten so I am going to replace them. Any suggestions to either use only plastic or use wood then pin plastic over the top? Thanks

Best to use the more expensive high quality plastic(!). Use thick material dont cap any wood.
Rotten fascias might indicate rotten wall plates and rafter tails. Why not post a photo of what you've revealed?
