Soffits/Fascia replacement

Hi

We have a guy coming out to give us a price to get this done, I have a couple of questions before he flannels us with sales patter:

Is there any real benefit to us getting this done? At the moment, our guttering is okay.

Does it add any value to our house?

Is it more or less an aesthetic thing?

Do you mean replacing with Plastic.

I had the same problem, so had a visit from a very reliable local tradesman.
His advice was to keep the wood, and paint it with a microporous wood stain, which was easy to maintain.
I am glad I took his advice. Saves me going up the ladder every month to clean the plastic.

Better do mine then, It's been up over 3 years and never been cleaned

To answer the question, it is pretty much maintenence free. Never needs painting, no I don't think it adds value to your house, in fact, put on the wrong kind of house, it could look awful. (My house is hideous anyway, so it doesn't ,matter).
