I've measured up all my flat and now im ready to input everything into a software to do a plan of my flat and help the discussion with the builders.
Which software is best ? Ive tried google sketch-up and visio but there are not that user-friendly...

Cannot say which software is best I have used several packages including Autocad, Autosketch, Turbocad and have also tried Sketch up.

Out of these I always seem to come back to Turbocad (mainly because I have learned how to use it more fully than the others). You do not need the latest version and you can pick it up quite cheaply on ebay (I do mean the full legal application -not a pirate copy!)

I have never found any CAD application that could be considered user friendly - you really do have to invest a good deal of time and effort to learn to get the best out of the system.

Do you really need a CAD package for this job? Could you accomplish the same by drawing in Paint or similar package and inputting text notes for dimensions etc
