soil pipe

Hi anybody help my mate has recently had a new toilet fitted and now there is the strong smell of the drains in the bathroom every thing is boxed in and ive looked for and cannot find the soil pipe inside or out I notice that the overflow pipes are still there but not connected but would this account for so much smell

I think not. They are definatley overflow pipes though yes ?


When I changed mine there was still a smell after the new one was fitted.
It was VERY old and I found that the smell was actually from the really old plumbers mate that I had previously knocked out.
Once I cleaned it out properly and replaced it ... the smell had gone.

if the overlow is connected to the soil pipe yes,plug it with something and see if the smell goes away
