Hi we have just had some torrential driving rain , it was almost coming horizontally. I decided to check in the loft and noticed that water was running down the outside of the soil stack . I checked a few hours later when the rain was regular and the pipe was dry .

Would this be a big job ?

Can you post a picture of the pipe outside where it penetrates the roof

You can get to it from a ladder easily, it's at the end of the roof . The roof is tiled with clay tiles and the soil stack looks like it has a lead surrounding.

I've called a roofer . It looks a bit high + I've no idea what I'm doing

Had a roofer around and he pushed the rubber bit back on like you all said . I checked in the loft last time it was heavily raining and I still have a slight drip running down the outside of the soil pipe.
Do I need a new rubber bit ? Or should I attack it with silicone?
