Hello

Have a new 1sqm flat panel collector taking up space and keen to use it for something simple.

Any ideas.. would it heat a towel radiator for example? I know i would need a pump etc. Bought it by accident. Was going to plumb into existing vented cylinder but that is too much effort. A towel rad in downstairs bathroom might work though, layout wise.

Cheers

I'm not qualified in solar heating, but in theory yea, would be free heat to the towel rail in summer (unfortunetly only during the day)

You'd need more than a pump tho, a proper solar collector for heating can become incredibly hot, it needs to be run on a glycol system with appropriate safety relief valves and expansion vessels,

Realistically you would need to heat a small store, as heating the rad directly will just cool down again when the suns down
