Soldering compression fitting shut!

I have nuisance compression fittings off a multi-fuel stove and adjacent pipework. Recently fitted and tightly closed, some of these fitting are leaking badly!
The temperature of the stove gets very high as you may know and I used hard setting compound (Rocol) on all parts. Some of the olives were copper and not brass.
Could I solder these fitting shut, making future dismantle impossible but sealing up this area which is very tight or unaccessible??

Cheers in advance

Remove the fitting all together and start again with fresh olives.
If you are using compression fittings there is no need for any further
sealants.

Tighten. Not too tight. Over tighten and it will just leak!

If it leaks use some ptfe tape around olive.

No, up to 250 degC or so. If it's THAT hot, you have a problem.

What were these pipes for that you were able to dispense with?
Cold feed and open vent still there, I trust?

AS stated, start over with new olives. If the pipe has been distorted, solder in a new section or cut back to an undamaged section.

If it's water in the pipes then thermodynamiclly speaking it can't be more than 100C on an open system unless you're generating steam!

It would only ever get a few degrees above 100degC on an open system, due to the head of the cold feed.

If it was a sealed system, the steam and water could be heated under pressure far above 100 degC until something failed.

He has capped two pipes on a solid fuel boiler. Any mushroom clouds over Cumbria last night?

What pipes? Has there been some editinig or do ineed to go back to SS's?

Imperial pipe with new metric fittings ?
Correcto! I found this out today, pipes were deep in wall from removed open fire back boiler.
Chopped pipes back to find my 22mm solder was all over the place on 3/4" pipework
! Used 3/4"-22mm straight and finished in solder. No solder fitting for return leg so soldered the bugg** closed !
Cheers guys

Yes. Have you capped a pipe on a solid fuel back boiler?

Is this a wind up?
