Hi people
I have job that the person is currently having damp issues, i cannot see any damp getting to the oak flooring. but there having a DPM injected in to the walls because of this damp issue
The oak planks have been installed as a floating floor, the planks have started to brake apart as they have only been glued.
I don't know what way to go about it, also the cost factor and labour.
Obviously it would be best to pull it all up and DPM primer the floor and adhesive the flooring down, but this will add up to be a expensive job and the planks are in ok condition far from new.
I could just pull it up hope for the best and try and install again like it currently is glued and underplayed with DPM underlay.
Or could this be another option just installing new solid oak on top of old and hidden nailing it to the old, i never used a hidden nailer and was unsure it the nail would go through both solid oak surfaces?????
Cheers all
