The joint on my solid oak worktop has slightly opened over the last year. It is tight on the one side but about 2 mm on the other side and I worry water will go through. What is the best way to insulate/fill the joint gap?

Are we talking about a butt joint or a full corner miter? ...pinenot :)

it is a butt joint, straight cut joint on the inside towards the wall and curve finish on the outside. The 2mm gap is on the outside curvy end of the joint in the corner of the worktop.

Is it poss to re-cut the portion now touching to achieve the same clearance as the gap, reset the worktop with worktop connectors to keep the gap closed?
...pinenot :)
