Was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to which brand or type of solvent to use when jointing solvent weld waste/soil pipes?

Is it better to apply from the type of tub shown below with a brush, or perhaps from a sealant gun instead? Thanks.

floplast has a brush inside .not sure about the other one ,never used it. but you do not apply with a gun !! ever.

Most just have a brush of some sort inside the cap; I've never come across a sealant gun, nor where I have to use a seperate brush that would then need cleaning afterwards. Companies like screwfix and toolstation sell their own cheap version, but don't tend to advertise it, so you sometimes have to ask for a solvent cement instead.
