do use solvent weld though push fit is carp for many reasons
-Smaller bore
-Sags A LOT more than solvent (needs more clips)
-Can fall apart (needs more clips)
-Rubbers can fail
-(my opinion) seems to block more often than solvent
-Takes longer to install (chamfering and lubing and clipping)
-More expensive
Only reason to use it is when high temps are required (unvented discharge etc)
Most professionals will use Solvent weld, purely because the pipe actually is welded together for alot stronger joint and the points New Gas installer highlighted
I dont use compression at all unless I need it for as transition coupling
