Hi,

Some of my rads are not working, information:
I have replaced one rad with new one and T'd off this one to a towel rail in new on-suite (these are not working) also another one in a bedroom has stopped working (this rad has not been touched).
They are not getting hot/warm at all not even the pipe work I have bleed all rads on filling system and since double checked, balanced rads, turned all rads off bar one non working one, checked TRV's (all fine) and still nothing.
I live in a bungalow.

I have a Worcester greenstar boiler pressure is sat just under 2 and isn't moving (apart from when I bleed them).

Can anyone help?? thanks

Have you teed off the flow and return or just intercepted one pipe and looped it through the new rad (wrong!). Definitely sounds like incorrect pipework to me unless you have managed to create an airlock?

Can you draw and post diagrams of what existed and what you have done? Can you get any water out of the rad & towel rail when you bleed them?

Hi,

thanks for responding so quick.

Yes T'd both off, yes both bleed fine and water comes out, I bleed about 3 liters off one of them to see if hot water came through but nothing (then I refilled boiler).

Just drawing diagrams, thanks

All pipe work is under floor which is screed so I have only been able to work with where is come out the floor.

Also I have removed two other rads but have just capped them off I assume this is ok?

Again much depends on how the system is piped but by capping off the other rads you may have created a deadleg and airlock. Hard to tell without seeing it.

I have tried to remove any potential airlock, I kept TRV open and closed shield left it pulling the water through did sound like some air came out and eventually hot water came though. However after this they then just called back down again.
I have now closed all rads bar one of the problem ones and still cold, does this mean it is not balancing? (The other rads still work fine after all this has been done).
