Today a train was held in the Eastbound Jubilee platform at London Bridge for at least 20 minutes and the doors were stopped from opening.
The reason? A gang of Albanian youths were robbing people of their phones & wallets and the police had had a tip off from Westminster.
Yesterday a gang of 11 Albanians were stopped at Stratford. The police recovered 40 wallets and 22 mobile phones.
You won't hear about any of this because the media are gagged and they don't want to incite any trouble with these poor Eastern Europeans who've come here for a better life.
Is selective media gagging the right thing to do?
Personally id say no...If I was waiting on a train platform id rather be aware of groups like this...surely a bit of streetwise knowledge is better than being mugged?
