Hi there,
My house originally had a downstairs bathroom with a stub stack. At some point in the past someone moved the bathroom upstairs, the problem is that instead of extending the soil stack up above the new bathroom they ran the soil and waste down through the floor into the stub stack on the ground floor. This contravenes part H of the building regs. and I'd like to sort it out, but since this was done an extension has been put on the back of the house which means it's going to be almost impossible to run the stack up the outside of the house. I would rather not have to run it up through our bathroom as I'd have to pretty much redo it from scratch to make room. Does anyone have any clever suggestions or solutions for sorting this out?
