If they aren't on the PB site give us the exact model number of the PC and and motherboard make and model.

But as yopu said
ive reloaded a machine i cobbled together from bits i had
It cant be packard bell, its a heinz 57.

you will need to find the sound drivers for the make / model of MOBO you have.

look on the Motherboard (MOBO) and then google for the sound drivers for yours

How can you possibly know that the mobo isn't the PB one ?

I don't, it could be, but then it could also be something else. which is why i said (as you said first) find the make / model

sorted :D :D

we have noise

downloaded driver detective and it told me the make / model of mb

then went to pb site and got them

apologies BTW the case was PB the mobo was coincidence

thanks folks ;)
