Sound proofing mat which way round ?

Hi which way round should I stick this sound proofing mat? It is going in a American fridge housing. I just want airborne noise eradicating as I have put silent coat on to stop vibrations. Photos attached. One side is aluminium fool the other is foam.

My guess would be sound absorbing (foam) side towards the source of the sound, is there no info on the makers site?

Done it now and found out the noise that was actually keeping me awake was a cctv hard drive and not the fridge !! What an idiot I am .
