Hi
We have bought a semi bungalow and the room we want to use as our bedroom is against the room the neighbour uses as a dining room.
There used to be a chimney on the adjoining party wall which has been removed our side and it appears as opposed to having the wall plastered properly, they have used a stud framework and created a false wall about 3'' into the room.
We are going to remove this, and were going to plaster, but are having thoughts about replacing this 'false stud wall' and fill with soundproofing to avoid any potential noisy neighbour problems.
If we do, can anyone recommend any effective soundproofing material, or just use fibreglass loft type insulation?
Thanks
