I'm considering a soundproofing solution in our bedroom as there is a lot of noise coming from various sources - outside, but also inside from pumps, other rooms etc.
I've started with getting a "site inspection" arranged for our windows to get secondary glazing installed - from Granada Soundproofing (http://www.1st-4-secondary-double-glazing.co.uk/residental_installation.html) - anyone used them and able to testify as to how good (or bad!) they are?
Once we've got the window done we'll be considering ceiling/floor/wall soundproofing solutions as well - on this page http://www.soundstop.co.uk/solutions/wall_solutions/wall_solution_1.php it mentions flanking problems arising from breezeblock. How do I check/find out whether our property uses breezeblock externally (all walls internally are plasterboard stud). We live in a detached property built by Kier Homes in 2006.
