I would have thought this has been asked a million times but I still can't find any detailed specification.
We want a 65 sq m slab (5.5m x 12m). The slab will hold a pre-fab garage of approx 30 sq m and an outdoor area for vehicles.
So questions:
How thick should it be, considering that it will hold several vehicles?
How many layers of steel mesh?
How thick hardcore?
How thick sand layer between hardcore and DPM?
How big should each "panel" be (I assume expansion joints are required, breaking the slab into panels).
Here's the unknown.... we don't know what size prefab garage we will use, so the slab should be thicker so that the garage can be placed anywhere on it.
