They can't take prolonged periods of high temperature water. . The plastic just gives way.
Had a customer afflicted with these everywhere on his heating. . They all started failing within a few weeks (some days) apart.
Big insurance claim. . Original installer is probably still walking funny. . Customer was a big chap and not very happy
