Speeding fines.

But the 70 euro threshold means the provisions of the treaty cannot be enforced. At current exchange rates, this meas the fine is about £64 – £4 more than the standard speeding fine. This means overseas drivers are unlikely to face any action.

In some parts of the country, it is estimated that up to 40 per cent of speeding tickets are being issued to foreign motorists...

make them pay the commission that should take it above the limit :D
 
i wonder what percent of the 40% are actuly paid in the end

i am shure they could add an administative fee of say £10 for the added effort involved collecting these fines
