Sports Rack in Dryer, Whats it for and how do you use it?

Hello,

We recently purchased a Indesit Tumble Dryer (IDCA835) and in the drum was a white metal cage that I think is called a sports rack. However we cannot find any reference to it in the manual and I cannot see where it would fit in the dryer. Does anyone know what it does and how we use it as I do not have a clue.

It's a shoe rack. Remove the filter and replace with the rack it stops the drum beening damaged when drying trainers.
