You know sometimes when you are tired and just can't seem to get something...
Well i got it here, its really simply and looking at it it doesn't seem right....

Can you point out the obvious mistake in this please?

What on earth are you trying to acheive? you have got a neutral going from the CU, to two lights and then to a switch??!!

Forget the CU, that's another junction box/light its coming off.
The PL comes off another light but the 2 lights here are have just live and neutral. Unlike a standard ceiling rose.

Thanks holm. Does it always need to goto Common? Just i've seen a jump from common to L1 on a 2gang 2 way switch.

Hang on, that won't have 2 way? Will make the light permanently live..?

thanks

Aye yeah. Works, but is that allowed to be done that way?... The common link not supposed to be used always? Does is comply with regs?

Thanks Gareth,

Will the second light actually work that way?..

Problem I have are the lights have just L and N, no loop connection...

Holmshaw's way works, but by not linking the commons does that mean it doesn't comply with the wiring regs?

Thanks

Thanks Gareth, appreciate your help.

Just when i was doing my electrical training they taught us the certain ways to wire 2 and 3 way lighting, didn't know how far you could stray from it.

What on earth are you trying to acheive?
A bl***y great bang when the switch positions are asymmetrical?

What makes you think it wouldn't?
The fact that he doesn't have a clue what switches do?

A bl***y great bang when the switch positions are asymmetrical?

I thought this when I first looked at the diagram but doubted myself after the post comments.

Would that be a great bang, or a click and lights go off?

Not has a bang since i was 14 trying to fix a tumble dryer for input, and had leads still set to amps.

I had to break the leads welded to the terminals.
