I have recently purchased a Victorian terrace house with a slate roof which looks in good condition, however to the rear of the slates there is what looks to be a glue that has been sprayed on, one neighbour who has lived next door for 45 years said a number of houses in the row had it done to stop slates slipping..this definitely is not the spray on foam type as it is a very thin coating, does anyone know of such a product which was used or come across it before,
It did show up in a survey and was listed as not mortgageable.however as a mortgage was not required the price paid did reflect the survey and the cost of re roofing as well as other defects to the property.
Would be good to identify the product.
Will take photos next time I am there
TIA
