Springy Floors

Hi Guys,

I've just moved into a house built in the 1930's,the problem i have is that in the bedrooms the floors are springy! and the floor sags towards the centre,is the problem due to the joists being too small? if so how do i go about rectifying the problem?,thanks for the help.

Next step,find a decent joiner as it looks like my floorboards are going to have to come up.
