2 Problems
1. My rear shocks have plastic covers, and they've broken off the rubbers, is this something that should be replaced or they are fine loose?

2. My fan belt is believe it is sqeaks, normally stops once the car is warm or if the clutch is down. The belt in the video is the one causing the squeak I believe, would this be considered loose?

Any trouble shooting advice on both issues let me know!

My car is a 2006 Hyundai getz, 157k miles.

The shock absorber covers are just covers

Ideally replace them but not essential. The piston rod will be exposed to the weather if not and will eventually cause wear or leak (oil or gas).

I don't understand why the belt stops squeaking with the clutch down. Are you sure it's the belt, not the clutch? Replace the belt, it's only a few quid. Readjust it after a week as it relies on manual adjustment and the belt will stretch (or relax)

That belt will squeal after the car has just been started - the load on the alternator makes it that much harder to spin so the noise abates after a few moments. This has no connection with the clutch, and I assume the car has electric PAS?
Happily, the adjuster is just above the blue glove, so easy enough to get to. I believe the alternator swings on the Getz.
John :)
