hi the flooring in my bathroom squeaks and groans like mad.,
we have sheets of tongue and grooved chipboard nailed down, seems to be worst where the tongue meets the groove (the noise).
any ideas to solve this problem?

The cheapest way you could try with talcum power rub into the joints or removed all the nails and replace with screws, failing that it will need an extra noggins between the floor joists to support the joint of the T&G underneath which mean removing or damaging the floor to do it ! The other trick I have done which sometime does works is to put a saw cut with a floor saw down where the joint meet to approx' 3 to 5mm deep and run a glue in the joint mixed with sawdusts. It is a gamble though.
