I have stained some birch ply (only a few mm thick) with food dye and waxed it Within a few days the sun, through the window, has bleached the colour away. This has never happened to me before when using the same method on pine etc.
Would using Rust O leum satin sealer, or similar, keep the colour or because the ply is only 3 thin sheets would it not dry and lay on the top as a tacky finish ?
Or at a push is there anything I can put on top of the wax to seal it and the colour in ?
Thanks
