I've got an old and a bit beat-up staircase that's going to get covered with carpet soon. However a couple of the 'noses' or roundovers are broken off in the centre of the tread, so that there is no overhang on top of the riser, just a right angle.
Is this a problem? I could try to saw off what's left and glue on a new overhang, but could I just pick one up from travis perkins, or do I have to get a joiner to do it? I was kind of hoping the carpet would just cover up the problem.
thanks
