Just found the light in the downstairs toilet has blown. Had 2 other lights in upstairs bathroom and en-suite, (one in each), blown for a few weeks but not got round to replacing them yet. So decided to check they were all the same type of lamp.
NO!
One is a replaceable LED unit, (36v), one is a G10, (12v) and the other a G16(?), (the type with push in straight pins), 240v
The plan was to just buy a multi-pack box as spares. Now I have the choice. Buy separate lamps for each corresponding unit or change the units for the same type of voltage. Either way is not going to be cheap. 3 separate prices for the lamps but if I standardise them it then means I would need to change out the existing ones which are different to the same as the new ones. If they had all been the same voltage when installed, (and same fitting type obviously), I could have just replaced them from my stock of GU10's.
