My gran parent have a stanley oil fired range 2 years old but running costs getting dear I wondering can a room stat be added to 1 these

This appliance can be controlled in exactly the same way as any boiler; room stat, cylinder stat, TRV's. It will already have a timeswitch presumably, if only two years old I assume it is a twin burner.
