what does it mean by in series is that when the two lamps are connected together and this starter will allow them to work like that ok? and it will also work for single lamp use too yea?

series starters are typically used in modular fittings eg 600 x600 grid fittings you have two ballasts four 36 watt tubes and four starters
each ballast drives two tubes wired in series with said starters hence the name
they differ from normal starters because being in series they are rated at 120V or so (might be rated slighty less, cant rememberim getting old and its been a while lol)
